Recently there was a post regarding how the DS4 controller didn't work with Windows 10).This was due to DS4Windows not being able to hide the DirectInput version of the PS4 controller which then causes issues in some games that try taking input from DirectInput devices. Plugged-in Controller through USB (Windows recognizes it as 'Wireless Controller', Light Bar flashes orange but turns off (I guess the battery is full)); DS4Windows keeps saying 'No Controller found (max 4)' Uninstalled 'Wireless Controller' Driver. Uninstalled 'Virtual Bus Driver' with 'ScpDriver.exe', Rebooted PC 4. install the xbox drivers and the DS4Tool Virtual Bus Drivers 5. close steam 6. start either the ScpServer.exe from the DS4Tools package or the DS4Tool.exe from the DS4Windows package. 7. Click on "Hide DS4 Controller". The log window should either complain that steam or some other gamepad-using application is running or it will just state that the controller is ready to use. 8. Click on DS4Windows allows for the use of your Dualshock 4 controller in Windows as a Xinput device (Xbox 360 controller) making it compatible with all 360 controller ready games. DS4Windows also adds I wrote what is essentially an Upper Filter for an HID Class device (specifically targeted at the Play.com device id - VID_0B43&PID_003). If this was installed as a Filter the Driver would have to be signed to install on Vista or 7 (barring the usual workarounds), so to bypass this requirement I wrote it as an XInput wrapper. I am new to everything pc and I downloaded ds4windows, I chose appdata by mistake when I was asked where should to save ds4windows. Now, I am trying to run the exe and whenever I click number 1 which is to install ds4windows driver, I keep getting install failed and the virtual bus driver folder is opening by itself.
