Downloaded pdf file not opening

The issue of opening pdf files with Adobe Reader DC in Win 10 x64 is not solved. I have tried the : disabled checkbox Enable Protected Mode at startup and it does not work.These pdf files will open using Adobe Reader on my XP pro system and Win7 system using the supported/latest readers on those systems.
